This 5000 sq foot apartment is located in a typical Tribeca prewar building. The original use of the building was a textile factory. The few remnants of its past glory appear here and there in the form of a cast iron column, a double height space or a beautiful mahogany window. The rest has been transformed into a luxurious yet minimal apartment for a family that loves to entertain. The main feature, the 25-foot-long skylight, illuminates the enormous living area and connects the two levels of the apartment. On the upper area, floor to ceiling windows connects the space to a large private and protected landscaped wrapped terrace with views of downtown iconic buildings such as Freedom Tower, Woolworth Building and Herzog & De Mueron’s 56 Leonard Street.
